Owning Your Authority

On the banks of the Mara River during the SOULpreneur Safari, Michelle Richmond and Jason Snaddon captured an impromptu, raw and real conversation about stepping up on the journey to owning your authority, expanding your awareness, up-levelling consciousness and the greater connection that is available to all if we choose to live our truth and be the most brilliant expression of ourselves.

Energy Clearing

ENERGY CLEARING is a great support tool when you are overwhelmed with emotions, either yours or someone else’s. It gifts you with the ability to move and change energy that adversely affects you and leaves you feeling disconnected from yourself, supporting you to instead ground and centre yourself.

The more you employ this exercise, the more centered and grounded you will feel.

If you are in the company of people with discordant energy, then it is important not to get into the story or to judge your energy, or the energy of those around you, but to simply see the energy being drawn down into a red ball in the earth.

You will often find people either calm down and connect or move away.

I didn't even know her name

There are so many stories from Kenya that have seen me stretch beyond the world I have always known and this is definitely one on them.

I Am That I Am

In The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch, the words ‘I AM THAT I AM’ are said to be the most powerful words man can speak.

A powerful mantra to be guided by.

Uncompromising Certainty

Trust is the bridge between the mind and heart, the gateway to non duality, to oneness. In your presence trust becomes knowing, and from knowing, certainty arises. In times of challenge, uncompromising certainty can be your greatest strength.

BUILDING YOUR CORE  Within your body there is an ‘Inner Core’ of energy that surrounds and supports your absolute centre. Your core is the source of your energy and power; it is where your experience of passion and truth originates, and it is your connection to your greatness.

The Inner Core’s length is from the floor of your pelvis to the roof of your mouth.  In the back, it follows the back of your spinal vertebrae and sacrum. In front, it touches your pubic bone, your sternum and the hyoid bone (in your throat just above the thyroid gland).

To draw you focus to the Inner Core, imagine its shape inside you and put your awareness on the physical touchstones of your pubic bone, hyoid bone and sternum.  It is often helpful to place the fingers of one hand on either side of the thyroid on the hyoid bone, and the fingers of the other hand on the top of the pubic bone.  This usually makes the parameters of your Inner Core tangible for you.

Focus on the Inner Core whenever you need clarity or focus, and when you want to feel courageous and powerful.  If you question whether or not focus alone can create a change in your body and life, ask an Olympic athlete, a champion in martial arts, or a master of yoga.  Focus is always what separates the top performers from the pack.

When you focus your awareness on the core of your body, it lifts the core up. Your focus directs your energy (sometimes called ki, chi, shakti, or lifeforce) to your core.  It ‘inflates’ your core, much as pumping air into a bicycle tube inflates the tube.  This increases the flow of energy in your entire body and gives strength to the strongest part of you, your core.

It reminds you that you have a core that is stable and powerful.  It reinforces the length of your spine and uplifts the vertebrae, giving you more sense of presence.  It reminds you that regardless of what is happening in the world around you, your core is clear and strong.

Focus on the Inner Core supports the lower back, relieving tension and pain around the sacrum, back and inner belly.  It supports and energises the organs, and supports the shoulders so they can relax.

Emotional Freedom Technique

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT) is a psycho-emotional therapy and a form of psychological acupressure. This is a technique I have used for many years to help Returned Service Men with severe PTSD, sex workers in the slums of Kenya, women who have become homeless in Australia, traumatised children in Kipchamgaa Children’s Home, and the Corporate CEO, all with outstanding results. EFT is based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to stimulate specific meridians on the head, chest and arms, while mentally picturing a specific problem or situation – whether a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etcetera – while also voicing positive affirmations. EFT is based on the theory of electromagnetic energy, which flows all through our body and plays a crucial role in taking control of our health.

Emotional Freedom Technique operates on the premise that no matter what part of your life needs improvement, there may be unresolved emotional issues standing in the way. The medical profession has long known that emotional issues can dramatically affect our body chemistry and that, in turn, can lead to everything from headaches and acute illness to addictions, impaired immune systems and even more chronic diseases such as cancer.

This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmations works to clear emotional blocks that contribute to poor cellular functioning and disruption of energy pathways. It is a fast-evolving treatment within the field of Energy Psychology and it’s catching the attention of healers, scientists, spiritualists and many others.

EFT is based on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). It combines the physical benefits of acupuncture with the cognitive benefits of conventional therapy for a much faster, more complete treatment of emotional issues, and the physical and performance issues that often result. It has received some notoriety through Gary Craig’s EFT Handbook, published in the late 1990s.

Even for physical issues and chronic pain or illness, it is common for emotional stress to impede the natural healing potential of the human body. EFT can be an ongoing process used to clear out old traumas and welcome any new challenges with a healthy, positive attitude. As guilt, anger, fear, trauma and the like become resolved, physical ailments often subside simultaneously.

EFT can help with a variety of emotional and physical issues such as weight-loss, anger and anxiety, phobias, and beyond.
